Do you take Team Pictures?

For both our Fall and Spring seasons, CYSA partners with EG Photography to capture memorable moments. Not only do they provide exceptional pictures, but part of the proceeds from your purchases goes back to support CYSA, aiding in keeping our registration fees affordable. We appreciate your contribution to
our community!

EG Photography generously contributes a portion of the proceeds from picture sales back to CYSA. When you purchase pictures through them, you directly support our organization, aiding in the maintenance of affordable registration fees. Your contribution is invaluable, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude!

Coaches will receive a schedule specifying dates and times for pictures. Kindly await your child’s coach to provide this information to you. Thank you for your cooperation and support!

Do you have referees?

CYSA is dedicated to providing qualified referees for U6 and above. Each referee has undergone training and successfully passed a test to officiate your child's game. In alignment with New Mexico Youth Soccer guidelines, referees can begin at the age of 13, resulting in a youthful and dynamic team of officials. We kindly request that you refrain from directing frustration or criticism towards our referees, as they are committed to ensuring a safe and fair game for everyone on the field.

Should you have concerns, please bring them to the attention of a board member at the clubhouse or contact your Referee Assignor. It's crucial to adhere to our Zero Tolerance Policy, which was acknowledged during the registration process. Be aware that both referees and board members possess the authority to remove individuals from the complex if deemed necessary. We continuously seek individuals interested in becoming referees, and if you'd like to join our team, please reach out to Todd at (575)-714-3998. CYSA provides a referee jersey for your convenience. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Concessions?

Please help support CYSA by using the concession stand located next to the clubhouse.  We have drinks, candies, frito pies, nachos, breakfast burritos and doughnuts, etc.

Do you have a Facebook page?

CYSA manages our own website, which means updates and emergency notifications will be updated regularly. You can also check our Facebook Page for updates.

CYSA would love you to LIKE us on Facebook!  We post information regarding classes, camps, game cancellations due to weather, and more. PLUS! We love to take pictures of your kids having fun, so photos are posted frequently.

What is the youngest age group?

Lil’ Strikers is tailored for your little soccer stars aged 3 ½ to 4 ½, providing a nurturing introduction to the world of soccer. Recognizing that young kids can find the traditional routine of practices and games daunting, we've designed Lil’ Strikers to foster a positive early soccer experience. This program focuses on teaching technique, strategy, rules, and sportsmanship, ensuring that children not only have fun but also develop fundamental skills.

Here’s how the program operates:

  • Team Structure: Teams comprise 5 or 6 players, and parents take on the role of coaches. Coaches have the flexibility to choose the day, time, and location for team practices on any night of the week.

  • Scrimmages: Your child will have the opportunity to experience the feel of a game through scrimmages on Saturdays. These are friendly, with no referees or scores. Given the short attention span of these young players, scrimmages consist of 15-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime break. The board provides support by overseeing the first scrimmage to guide coaches on how to conduct them. Coaches will need a whistle for practice to familiarize kids with the sound and teach them to listen for it.
